January 2018 Meeting Summary

 Happy New Year Everyone,
Thank you to all that came to yesterday's meeting.  We covered a lot of items and it was a fun meeting.  Unfortunately I am not always able to relay all that is discussed in the followup summery, but I try my best.
The GLUTEN FREE LIVING magazine that I personally subscribe, gave a terrific "year -in -review" of all events pertinent to living the gluten free lifestyle....with highlights such as new products from Canyon Bakehouse;  Chick-fil-A, Starbucks & Jersey Mike's Subs offering more gluten -free options; Enjoy Life Foods updating and adding more product choices to name a few.  I have extra copies of this year in a glance if you can come to next month's meeting.  It is in the January/February 2018 issue of Gluten-Free Living.
Member Becky Renfroe brought her tried and true favorite Fruity Bar recipe and also recommended the GO RAW watermelon seed product.
Linda was a wealth of information as usual (thank-you Linda).  She gave a very informative presentation on getting, gaining and keeping good intestinal health. She is a strong proponent of KYO-DOPHILUS, Digestion & Immune Health capsules. Used to promote healthy intestinal function (restore, balance & protect). And, she brought her new home brew of WATER KEFIR........Water kefir is a powerful source of the highest concentration of "good bacteria & beneficial yeast known to man". Water kefir beverage supplies you with a daily lifetime supply of 40+ strains for the rebuilding of your colon flora that's been damaged by leaky gut syndrome or just plain old fast food! She will be sending you a direct email from her, but suffice it to say, if you google "water kefir instructions"  you can get a heads up on what she will be sending you about water kefir.
Linda also advised us that YRMC (the hospital) now has gluten free options available.  Hopefully, none of you has to go to the hospital, but at least you will be able to order gluten free now.

Check out www.everlywell.com  This company was featured on Shark Tank and was invested in by one of the Sharks.  Everlywell does many kinds of medical testing without doctor referral.  For $199.00 they will test sensitivity to 96 food types.  I have not used them myself.  Just passing on the info.
Again, please read the disclaimer at the bottom of the page.
See ya February.  I am working on getting a great speaker.  Stay tuned.
