February 2018 Meeting Summary

Thank you to all that came to our February meeting at the Rose Room of the Bradshaw Senior Complex in Prescott, Arizona. Meetings are the second tuesday of each month and are held from 12:00 to 2PM.

Kim McElroy, from Broken Horn D Ranch was our speaker.  We learned so much about the benefits of eating their grass fed beef.  The cattle is known as Criollo Beef  (kree-o-yo) and this cattle is of Spanish origin, specially adapted to hot, arid climates. It is lower in fat and cholesterol and high in Omega 3's.  When we learned how, when & why this beef is better than mass-marketed store products, it makes sense why it is a little pricier.

You can find this product at the Prescott Farmers Market, Saturdays, 10 am - 1pm, Yavapai REgional Medical Center 93- Division St, Prescott until April 28th.  After that, the Farmers Market itself will move to a summer location.  There are brochures available at the market.

Our next meeting will be March 13th, 2018, same time and same location.
